Yes, the 12th board percentage is very important while calculating JEE Mains rank. since lakhs of students appear for JEE every year, so two or even more than two students can get an equal score. in order to decide their rank 12th board marks are considered.
Even 12th board marks play an important role while counsellings, students should have secured 75% in their respective board exams to participate in the counseling for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTS.
